Job description

About Aurora Solar

Aurora is on a mission to create a future of solar for all. Our award-winning software puts the power of data and technology into the hands of every solar professional to make solar adoption simple and predictable. Our software has designed millions of solar projects so far, empowering solar companies to sell, design, and install residential and commercial solar arrays accurately, seamlessly, and at scale.

We are a remote-first collaborative team of sustainable energy enthusiasts who love what we do. We’ve been named one of "The Best Mid-Sized Remote Companies To Work for in 2024" by BuiltIn.com and have been recognized for the second time as a Certified Green Business (CGB) with the city of San Francisco. We’re in this together to support the world’s transition to solar.

About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with account executives to craft technical solutions that meet our customers’ needs. You will identify how Aurora’s powerful products fit into a client’s workflow and contribute by eliminating manual steps, automating processes, and increasing the speed and efficiency of designing and selling PV systems. The ideal candidate will have deep API knowledge and the ability to think creatively and present solutions to C-level executives internally and externally.

Your Impact

  • Partner with Account Executives to analyze and understand clients’ business, sales, design processes, and operation needs
  • Build workflows and charts that depict the customer journey, software utilization, and cost stacks
  • Relate the client’s workflows and cost stacks to a comprehensive ROI calculation
  • Find opportunities where Aurora Solar creates new value and/or reduces costs for our customers with technical solutions
  • Define technical requirements necessary to implement the identified cost reductions and added customer value solutions for the client
  • Suggest innovative ways to client operations that use Aurora Solar in more optimized methods while growing stickiness
  • Become an Aurora Solar product expert in all aspects, especially in enterprise API and integration capabilities, and provide client feedback to Aurora’s Product teams
  • Support the Aurora AEs pre-sales and also post-sales with the integration of Aurora
  • Advise clients to follow best practices when integrating Aurora’s API

What You Bring

  • Ability to effectively translate business requirements into a comprehensive understanding of the client's technology infrastructure and identify integration opportunities
  • Project management skills and the ability to ensure seamless and expedited post-sale integration of our services
  • Comfort with ambiguity and capable of quickly adapting to change while maintaining high-performance levels amidst evolving business needs and conditions
  • Strong technical aptitude in consuming APIs and the ability to articulate and sell the unique value proposition of our offerings as a comprehensive product solution
  • Ability to think creatively to address complex situations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Outstanding organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Team-oriented mentality
  • Business-level proficiency in German and English

Nice to Haves

  • Solar industry experience or exposure
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Experience working in startups, scale-ups, or hyper-growth environments

Solar & Sustainability: All About ESG Considerations & Transparency along the Solar Supply Chain

Wednesday, June 19, 2024, 02:00 pm - 03:30 pm

ICM München Room 14 A

As investors focus more on ESG criteria in the solar supply chain, the industry aims to enhance transparency, traceability, and reduce carbon footprint. This comes at a time of significant legislative change in Europe, with market access rules and the promotion of improved sustainability practices on the horizon. This session will discuss: How ESG considerations are impacting developers' procurement decisions How solar manufacturers along the solar supply chain are addressing ESG concerns Legislative requirements and industry efforts to increase transparency and sustainability performance Processes for certifying solar products with low embodied carbon

Session
Utility-scale Solar Power II: Digitalization in PV Power Plants - Enhancing O&M through Digital Twinning, Data and Process Integration

Tuesday, June 18, 2024, 04:30 pm - 06:00 pm

ICM München Room 14 B

The utility-scale segment is being digitized at a rapid pace. New digital tools make workflows along the PV power plant value chain more cost-effective: from development to operations and maintenance. A key concept in PV digitalization is the so-called digital twin, a digital representation of the physical PV plant that accurately simulates the performance of a solar system. A digital twin enables better failure detection and support of the O&M decision-making process. This session will discuss: The role of digitalization and digital twins in the solar power plant sector How digitalization can enhance O&M activities Need for full integration of data along the value chain of PV power plants Benefits, drawbacks and hurdles for digitalization in the utility-scale segment (panel debate)

Joint Session
The smarter E Europe Conference Opening Session: GET ENERGIZED: RENEWABLES 24/7

Tuesday, June 18, 2024, 09:30 am - 11:00 am

ICM München Room 1

This is the beginning of the end of the fossil fuel era, explained UN Climate Change Executive Secretary Simon Stiell at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Dubai last December. For the first time, the world community agreed to"transition away from fossil energy carriers" in order to limit the global temperature rise to 1.5° Celsius, sending a clear signal - also to investors. With a record deployment of 473 gigawatts of renewableenergy sources in 2023, we're on the right track, but we need to move faster, especially when it comes to expanding the required infrastructure such as grids, storage systems, and e-mobility. We will need sustainable solutions on all grid levels and in all sectors to meet the challenges of a renewable 24/7energy supply. How can the energy industry become climate neutral asquickly as possible? What challenges are utilities facing and how can they overcome them? Join us at our opening session, allow yourself to be inspired, and motivated to work towards a fossil fuel-free world!
