Der europäische PPA-Markt wächst weiter. Trotz eines immer komplexeren und volatileren Strommarktes wurden in den letzten Monaten mehrere große Abnahmeverträge geschlossen. Viele Unternehmen fordern eine kosteneffiziente und ESG-konforme Stromversorgung und zwingen Stromversorger damit zu kürzeren Laufzeiten, technologieübergreifenden PPAs und innovativen Vertragsstrukturen. In einer Zeit, in der die europäische Industrie um ihre Wettbewerbsfähigkeit kämpft, ist die Bewältigung dieser Komplexitäten der Schlüssel zu einer stabilen und kostengünstigen Energieversorgung.

Mauricio Garrido has more than 14 years of experience in the energy sector, most of his experience being focused on Energy Management related activities. In January 2011 he joined EDP Renewables where he is currently Director of PPA Origination for Centralized Generation in Europe. In this role, he leads the origination, negotiation, and execution of Power Purchase Agreements across EDP Renewables' European markets. Mauricio holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and earned an MBA from IESE Business School in 2007.

He brings 14 years of global experience in financing renewable energy assets and commodity trading advisory at Smartenergy Group, Asian Development Bank and BloombergNEF. Itamar holds an Executive MBA from IE Business School, MSc Environmental Regulation at London School of Economics (with distinction).

Nikola Gazdov is an entrepreneur and investor with more than 15 years of experience in renewables. He is actively involved in the development, design and execution of utility scale and C&I projects globally. Nikola Gazdov is the Co-founder and Chairman of APSTE - the Association for Production, Storage and Trading of Electricity - a Sofia based industry group advocating for increased market integration of renewables and energy storage technologies. He is also a Board Member of RPIA - the Romanian Photovoltaic Industry Association. In his role as Managing Partner at Enery Element GmbH, Nikola Gazdov is driving the development of a solar & storage platform exceeding 1 GW in Bulgaria and Romania. He is also the CEO of Renergy - a technical advisory that has contributed to more than 15 GW of RES projects globally since 2014, in collaboration with leading European developers, utilities, IPPs and EPC contractors. In 2020 Nikola Gazdov co-founded RE-Source Bulgaria, a regional hub under the RE-Source Platform, focused on promoting renewable corporate sourcing in Bulgaria and the broader region of Southeast Europe. Since 2010 he is an active member of SolarPower Europe, currently being a member of several Working groups and Committees. Nikola Gazdov is Co-founder and Board Member at FC CSKA 1948 - a professional football club, owned and managed by its supporters. FC CSKA 1948 is competing in the efbet League - the top level of the Bulgarian football league system.
