Im vergangenen Jahr wurde in der EU erstmals mehr Strom aus Solarenergie als aus Kohle erzeugt. Gleichzeitig ist der Zubau von Solaranlagen seit der Energiekrise deutlich zurückgegangen. In fünf der zehn wichtigsten Märkte wurden weniger Anlagen installiert als im Vorjahr, insgesamt sanken die Zubauraten jeweils auf einen einstelligen Wert. Angesichts politischer Unsicherheit in vielen Ländern hängt der Erfolg der europäischen Solarbranche davon ab, ob das neue Parlament in Brüssel ein stabiles und investitionsfreundliches Umfeld für den langfristigen Aufschwung schaffen kann.
