Dr. Thomas Hillig is the founder and managing director of THEnergy, a boutique consultancy driving innovation in the energy space since 2013. He specializes in hydrogen, energy storage, microgrids, e-mobility, and smart energy management. Dr. Hillig supports industrial clients with tailored sustainability strategies, conducts due diligences, and helps cleantech companies successfully enter new markets. Known for his deep expertise and engaging style, he is a sought-after speaker and moderator at international energy and sustainability events.

Béatrice is the team lead for early-stage innovation at Thüga, the largest network of municipal utilities in Germany. Her strong focus lies on the initiation & execution of hydrogen projects as head of the Thüga H2-platform.

Studium der Verfahrenstechnik mit Schwerpunkt Umwelttechnik an der Technischen Hochschule Bingen sowie Aufbaustudium der Energiewirtschaft an der Hochschule Darmstadt. Erfahrung in den Bereichen Energieberatung für Kommunen und Industriebetriebe, Erstellung von Machbarkeitsstudien, Planung von regenerativen Energiesystemen. Darüber hinaus Erfahrung bei der Umsetzung von Projekten in den Bereichen Wärmecontracting, Bioenergie, Speicherung und grüner Wasserstoff. Seit 2013 tätig bei ABO Energy in Wiesbaden, Deutschland. Studied process engineering with a focus on environmental technology at the Technical University of Bingen and completed postgraduate studies in energy management at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. Experience in the areas of energy consulting for municipalities and industrial companies, preparation of feasibility studies, planning of renewable energy systems. In addition, experience in the implementation of projects in the areas of heat contracting, bioenergy, storage and green hydrogen. Working at ABO Energy in Wiesbaden, Germany since 2013.

Nele David works as a project manager for VERBUND Green Hydrogen GmbH in Vienna with a focus on local hydrogen projects in Austria and Germany. Prior to working at VERBUND's hydrogen section, she acquired valuable experience in the energy sector during her traineeship in different divisions of VERBUND, gaining insights into the energy market as well as the construction of hydropower plants. Nele David studied mechanical engineering with a focus on energy technology in Dresden, GE, and La Serena, CHL and was nominated for the Environmental Award of the Austrian Society for Environment and Technology in 2024 in the category Women in Environmental Technology.
