Sebastian Lahmann is Head of Team Implementing within the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure. The National Centre for Charging Infrastructure, operating under the roof of the federally owned NOW GmbH, coordinates and manages activities to expand the charging infrastructure for battery electric vehicles in Germany on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport (BMDV). Mr. Lahmann is involved in the technical foundations of funding programs initiated by the BMDV and the tendering of the 'Deutschlandnetz' (Germany-wide electric high-power-charging network) as well as the tender for public truck charging along highways ('LKW-Schnellladenetz'). He, along with his team, evaluates and defines the technical requirements for the overall charging infrastructure system and oversees the regulatory framework. The scope of application ranges from the energy supply network to the charging equipment and extends to the vehicle itself. The focus is on charging infrastructure for both passenger cars and commercial vehicles.

Since 2017, Sven has worked in truck electrification, including vehicle concepts and a global assignment as a technical product planner at Scania CV AB in Sweden. He contributed to TRATON's modularization strategy.

His journey began at TU Berlin as a research associate, working on applied funding projects related to the provision, financing, and integration of charging infrastructure in the energy industry. After successfully completing his PhD, he held various positions along the value chain at Hubject and Elli (Volkswagen Group Charging GmbH), focusing on Business Development, Regulatory, and Strategy.
